OHS Compliance Manager

Place of employment: Head office in Quebec City

Start date: As soon as possible

Job type: Permanent contract

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week

 

Prerequisites:

  • Valid driver's license
  • AEC in industrial engineering or DEC in industrial engineering
  • Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations 
  • Experience in the industrial field
  • Comfortable working mainly in an office environment AND also in the field (OHS audits)

 

Asset:

  • Experience in managing OHS platforms (Avetta, ISN, Cognibox, etc.)
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO9001/AS9100/AMO/NADCAP
  • Knowledge of the non-destructive testing field

 

Description of main tasks:

(OHS component) 

  • Participation in drafting and revising internal occupational health and safety policies
  • Drafting of documents supporting the promotion of OHS within the company
  • Manages and registers employees for mandatory OHS training courses
  • Attends and participates in customer OHS meetings
  • Ensures compliance of company personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Lead the company's OHS committee
  • Follow-up on monthly and annual inspections of fire prevention equipment (extinguishers) and first-aid kits

(Compliance section)

  • Maintain quality program requirements and continuous improvement
  • Participate and assist with quality audits (ISO9001, AS9100)
  • Development of internal policies on environmental management (in line with new ESG standards)
  • Participation in the management of contractor qualification platforms with customers (Cognibox, INSP, Avetta, et al.)
  • Coordination and follow-up of external certifications and internal employee training
  • Writing and updating employee resumes for bidding purposes (sporadic)
